Controlling which versions of TeacherPlus Gradebook are accessible via the PlusPortals.
Currently, there are two versions of TeacherPlus Gradebook. Prior to this update, the Silverlight version was always accessible to teachers by clicking the Gradebook buttons, and the HTML5 beta version was available in a separate link below the teacher’s picture if access to this version was enabled in the PlusPortal Admin Site.
With this update, the separate HTML5 beta version link has been removed. Now, either version or both versions can be made accessible to teachers under the Gradebook buttons. Accessibility to the two versions can be set in the PlusPortal Admin Site in the Permissions -> Teachers area, under the Master Menu Customization section:
Note: The Silverlight link setting shown above is new and will be enabled by default so that teacher’s access to that version is not interrupted. The HTML5 beta link setting shown above was implemented previously and will be enabled by default only for schools which had already enabled it.
Accessing TeacherPlus Gradebook via the PlusPortals
If only one gradebook version is enabled, when the teacher clicks the Gradebook buttons in the PlusPortals, he/she will be taken directly to that version. If both gradebook versions are enabled, the Gradebook buttons will function as drop-downs, allowing the teacher to easily select which version to be taken to. In both versions, the teacher will be automatically logged in with no need to enter credentials again.
